Simone Leembruggen
Holistic Foot Practitioner and ANF Therapist
Founder / Director / Holistic Wellness Foot and lower limb practitioner / Smart DNA Consultant
Simone is a Holistic practitioner incorporating western medical, eastern traditional, alternative health practitioner for a more thorough assessment of complex and chronic complaints. This can involve thinking outside the box, extensive history taking and being able to pick up on sometimes the most obscure observation or clues which we piece together to lead us to the cause and the possible cure. Simone considers all aspects of our life such as physical symptoms, mental health, nutrition, emotions, medications and past events of significance. She believes that the key to being successful is to approach each person like a different language. Once you learn that persons language we then uncover what exactly has happened, how and why.
Simone has spent the last 8 years on her childrens health. A constant task to gain knowledge to improve the health and quality of life for her children especially her son Raffael, born with a life limiting rare genetic disease. This initiated her determination to leave no stone unturned to try and help Raffael outsmart his genes enough to have a better life. And while its been a tough, never straight forward journey, Raffael is in the best health and wellness possible for him through the integration of western modern medicine, various traditional and complementary modalities and the most important area of all, epigenetics, gut health and the use of food and nutrition as medicine. Raffael's treatment plan is as complex as complex can get and every single intervention, activity, amount, timing and ingredient is there to give him the chance to communicate, develop more skills and most importantly, live pain free, comfortable and content.
Simone's focus today is to continue learning to help herself, family and anyone who needs it.
Life Experience
'My mother is Bathurst born of German descent and my father is a new Australian from Sri Lanka and a Vietnam Veteran.
I was born in Dandening and initially was a keen gymnast and monkey bar acrobat. Later I enjoyed Sewing, needle craft work and reading fiction, my childrens Bible and other biblical stories,
Around 8, we moved from Dandening to a farm in Paraparap, Victoria. We had a few race horses and general farm animals. I loved riding my ponies and grooming my pet rooster 'Bert' in my quest for 1st place at the Bellarine Agricultural Show. I attended Mercia Primary School in Highton and then Sacred Heart College, Newtown. I was an active member of the Geelong Childrens Chior, the Sweet Adelines Chorus, Geelong Concert Band, Tri services cadet marching band, Sacred Heart Choirs, Classical AMEB Grade 7 pianist, Classical AMEB grade 5 singer and Grade 6 AMEB in Theory of Music. I was a member of the Army Cadets Corps and around the age of 17 I switched to the Air Force cadets.
In 1996 I enlisted in the Australian Army on February 13th. I was one of the first school leavers to take a 'gap'year and i had to contend with criticism from friends and family saying i'd never return to finish my studies. I spent one year full time Army and the next 4 years part time juggling University studies in Melbourne with Military work Enoggera Queensland.
My main job within the Army was as a Transport driver. I had never driven in my life so initially I was definitely a danger and very lucky to have survived. I had a great, challenging experience and gained confidence and competence with trucks, rovers, trailers and winching etc. My job at Enogerra was as an ambulance driver and overall my time in the military taught me a lot and will stay with me forever. During the remaining years of study I worked in the Hospitality and gaming industry.
Later I tried my hand at Competitive body building, competitive line dancing,
Community and Volunteer work have always held importance to me from a young age possibly inspired by my grandparents who ran a migrant hostel in Springvale. My businesses have always made time to contributed to a better world and i now have the ability to do more in these areas.
Having a home birth for my first 2 children without intervention is something i am very proud of. My third was another proud achievement despite having to go to hospital and stubbornly refused pain relief.
I love travelling worldwide to experience other cultures and ways of life. I'll never run out of new activities and expeiences that challenge me and push me out of my comfort zone...
